How does the data warehouse of the 2011 Population and housing census work?

The system is based on OECD data warehouse technology (Dot.Stat), a software and statistical service platform adopted by Istat. Access to the system is open and free of charge. Data are presented in multidimensional tables; users can create customised tables and graphs acting on variables, reference periods and the arrangement of headers and margins. A wide range of metadata makes it easier for users to find and understand the statistics.

How often is the data warehouse of the 2011 population census upgraded?

The data warehouse is constantly updated and the amount of data available will be increased in the coming months with information on all other variables measured by the census (type of institutional household, buildings characteristics, vocational training, certificate or degree obtained, etc.). More information is available on the Census web page.
